Athens

In Athens we had an authentic Greek dinner, with music and dancers. Our friends Salim and Noha spontaneously went up on the dance floor, causing others to follow. It was a fun evening.

We walked up to the Acropolis, a long way up, mostly on slippery marble. At the top was the Parthenon, a temple built by Pericles, dedicated to the goddess Athena. It was built 2 1/2 thousand years ago. There was a beautiful view of the city (as well as at least a thousand other people who all wanted to see the acropolis at exactly the same time as us!).
