Greek Island Cruise

Our first stop was at the magical island of Mykonos. The houses were whitewashed and the people of each neighborhood get together three times a year to whitewash the streets. Everything looked clean and well taken care of. One of the pictures is of  "Little Italy", often in pictures you see of Greece.  We enjoyed wandering around the narrow streets and checking out the shops. Definitely a place to come back to some day.

The next day we stopped in Kusadasi, Turkey, to experience a Turkish bazaar. The vendors are extremely pushy, especially trying to sell their handmade rugs. The rugs were beautiful and it was interesting to watch how the ladies weave them. We managed to avoid the pressure of buying one, but did get sucked into a souvenir t-shirt and a few genuine fake watches (not all for me)! Everyone in our group had a fun story to share about their bartering experiences.

Pathos was our evening stop. This is the island where John wrote the Book of Revelations. We weren't as impressed with this one. The town was small and not nearly as pretty. We did a bit of wandering and then joined some friends at a cafe for a while before heading back to the ship.

We really enjoyed life on the cruise ship as well. There was time to relax, plenty of sun, great food and entertaining evening shows.
