Vienna

Our morning started with a tour of Schloss Schoenbrunn, which was owned by the Hapsburg family, who ruled Vienna for many years. It was beautiful.

The afternoon was spent in the pedestrian zone with shops, churches, cafes-a good time for people watching.

In the evening we went to dinner in the Vienna woods. We stopped at a nunnery that used to be the home of Rudolf Habsburg, the son to the kong and queen. We were told a long interesting story. The short version is he and a lover were killed there (possible murder suicide), which completely changed history. Had he lived, World War One may not have happened!

  1. wow, those are some beautiful views. I can just see you two running a little bed and breakfast in the cottage on the 14th pic down. You are going to have an amazing slide show when you get back :)
